Nursing Students Post Graduate

I didn't see a thread, so I started one.

I am planning on applying this fall for the Direct Entry MSN program. Anyone else?

I was offered an interview Feb. 14th! I'm so excited :) I still can't believe it.Good luck to those still waiting!

Hi All! I am quite late in joining this group, but it is nice to meet you all! I've also been contacted for an interview for February 14th for the morning session. Is anyone else in that group?? I'm excited, but also very nervous! I hope to meet some of you there!

I'm also on the 14th but not sure which session. I haven't received a follow up email yet!

@ceci when did u get ur invite and how, was it a phone call or email?

@fatcat313 I didn't receive a follow up either, but I was concerned about booking my plane ticket and whatnot, so I emailed Daniell just to confirm. I hope we receive more information soon!

Do you think we receive some sort of communication if we are not selected to move forward?

Beesmama, as far as I know, last year everyone (well, the vast majority) found out results at the same time...but only they would be able to answer that. Maybe give them a call?

Also, I know it's tough and discouraging (I'm right there with you!) but don't lose hope yet!! There were several sets of interviews the past few years. There's still time to hear!! :)

Yes, don't have any room of doubt. Believe in yourself.

Hi everyone, I received my interview invitation for 2/15 but I will probably be declining soon. I got into APU so I'd rather go there if I don't get accepted to UCLA. Any thoughts about western vs apu? If I decline, hopefully this opens an opportunity for someone else who is interested :)

Hey sc24, I also got into APU (Summer 2013 Azusa Campus) and received an interview for Western on the 13th. I too was debating about the interview; however, I do know that Western is much more flexible compared to APU. You only need to be at Western for the first 2 years to take pre-reqs and after you get your RN license, you can return home and do rotations there. But APU does have a great program (they have so many choices, Adult NP, Neonatal NP, Family NP, etc.) but Western only has FNP so that's always something to consider. What semester and campus did you get into for APU? :)

Hey all! Do you guys think they take into consideration whether an applicant has been on their alternate list in previous years?

Ucefrain, I hope so considering all we've been through! For cryin out loud!! Haha ;) I feel like the last year and a half of my life had been spent waiting and wondering. I definitely mentioned it in my personal statement, did you?? They at least HAVE to interview us again...right?!
