  1. Just got a call letting me know that I am on the waitlist and should be receiving a package in the next few weeks, either an acceptance letter or rejection letter. They said that the waitlist is short so hopefully that's a good sign haha. I have already accepted a seat at Samuel Merritt University but USF is another top choice for me.
  2. Hey so the interview process is comprised of 4 different sections. First you do a group campus tour, then the admissions counselor and financial aid lady do a presentation, followed by the 15-minute writing sample, and finally you have your 2 on 1 interview. For mine, it was a professor and current student. This part is very casual, almost like a conversation really. They only asked me 3 or 4 different questions but it was an ongoing discussion. It's important to just be yourself and know why you want to be a nurse and what experiences had led you to this point. Shortly after my interview ( like 2 weeks), I was notified that I was accepted. However, I am declining my spot because I was offered admission to a family nurse practitioner graduate program. Good luck and besides I hear that if you receive an interview, chances are that you will get accepted unless you completely bomb the interview or writing.
  3. Hey guys so I have been emailing back and forth with one of the admissions counselors. (Some of my transcripts weren't very viewable). Anyways I asked her after it all went through when we should hear back about out acceptances or rejections. She said they are still reviewing apps and that they hope to get letters out by the end o April!!!! Ugh I hope it's closer than that!!!
  4. Thanks guys!! I am super excited
  5. Just thought I would let you guys know that I was #2 on the waitlist and have been formally accepted. That means there has been movement on the waitlist!!!
  6. So nevermind, just got an alternate spot email. Oh well!
  7. Hmmmm interesting. I wonder what that means if I didn't receive anything yet. I didn't get a rejection email but haven't reviewed an alternate spot email either.
  8. Nope haven't heard anything yet. I emailed K****a but she hasn't responded. So hopefully soon
  9. My top choice has always been either Samuel Merritt or the University of San Francisco. I would love to stay somewhat local and since I'm from Santa Cruz, those two are the closest for me. As for the interview dress attire, if it is not specified, it would be better to be over-dressed than under. So my best option would be to go as business professional, so like a pant suit or skirt/jacket combo. Good luck!!!
  10. No I haven't yet, but it's ok. I've been accepted to one school and have a really good chance of another since I know at least 1 person who declined admission and I am number 2 on the waitlist. CSULA isn't my top choice, but I still would have liked to have it as an option
  11. So sorry to those who did not get in! You all will get to where you are supposed to be. Has anyone on here or just reading this thread been given an email or letter stating that they ate on the alternate/waitlist? Just curious if people have been notified for that
  12. @margarita haha I will def pray for you!! Hope you get good news for CSULA!!! Good luck on your interview!!!!
