UNC-CH MSN 2018 Cycle

Nursing Students Post Graduate

To my knowledge, there is no thread yet for all of us UNC MSN 2018 matriculation hopefuls! I am currently finalizing my application for the RN-MSN program, specifically FNP. That personal statement was a monster to write, but I think I'm finally happy with it.

I know I'm super early to be applying, but there's got to be other people out there who are like me and super eager to get their apps in. How is it going for all you peeps?!

I went to UNC for my BSN and they notified us the second week in April. I'm hoping for a similar situation for MSN, but it seems like end of April is the norm!

First week of April would be so amazing. I submitted my app in October '17 so I don't even know how I've made it this far. I must find ways to distract myself lol.

I just called the school and she said decisions will be sent out the week of April 23d. She said you will get a decision in the mail and also your online application will change from "Submitted" to the decision. Hopefully just about four weeks left!

OK great! We can make it 'til then...!

So no one will be notified by email? It seems like last year, they notified the acceptees via email. Thank you for the good info!!

A few weeks ago when I spoke with staff at the SON they said they would not be notifying people via email.

Admission decisions were just sent out via email! Good luck everyone. Yay im so excited!!!

Wait, what? What program are you referring to?

Inquiring minds are dying to know, to what program did you apply? I haven't received anything yet. Fingers crossed for us all.

Hi SnickerSnacker! Welcome to the conversation. Which program did you apply to?

Hi! I applied to the psych-mental health MSN. Which specialty did you apply to? And congratulations, ShyButNotReallyRN, BSN, RN!

I applied to the MSN program specifically FNP full time track. I received an email with the subject line "Your Admission Decision from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill" this morning at around 10am. The email then directed me to the application site where the status was updated.
