Is that just the tuition, or the total cost including books, supplys and uniform estimates? If that is just tuition, that is a big jump, if it is the including books ans supplys and uniforms, it isnt.

Just tuition. But it's only about 15,000 for you Feb starters....and also it says your tuition reimbursement is 10,000 something. Ours is only 8,000. That Doesn't really make sense to me but I guess they have their reasoning!

Books/uniforms are still the same as far as I noticed.

Yeah the loan forgiveness for us works out to be a little over 10,000 because our tuition is a little over 15,000 and we have to pay 5,000 of it.

Is it flat out an even $8000? If so sounds like they may be changing it to being a flat amount for tuition forgivness instead of the flat amount you have to pay first and then they cover the rest. So starting with your class they are only going to forgive a set amount in tuition for that 2 year promisary instead of the amount they have to cover going up each time tuition goes up.

Guess it would make it more fair in comparision between classes that get the same deal, just sucks to be the first class on that deal because previous deals were better by comparison. But like if you would look at my class and your class, if both of us got the "we pay 5000 they cover the rest", that 2 year promisary is worth 10,000 for me, and would be worth 12,000, where the term from last june is probably only worth 9000, and when they moved from the tuition forgivness being 100% to being student pays $5000 and they cover the rest i think tuition was only around 12,000-13,000, so that meant they were moving to only covering $7000-8000. Since it is more or less a sign on incentive it makes sense to make it more uniform for what it is worth, but like i said, sucks to be the first one to have the change applied to. If you were planning on most likely working with UPMC to begin with and feel confident in staying in a job for 2 years (i'm sure you would be...sounds like you have a stable job history), I would still say it is a good deal. If you were more of the mindset that UPMC is an employment option and the tuition forgivness is would be one of your primary motivations for working there, maybe the change is enough to make you reassess your finances, and full financial aid options before deciding on it.
