So who all in here is applying for St Margaret trying to get in for Feb start?

Already got application in?

Already heard back?

I only just got my application in this past week, so obviously haven't heard back?

If anyone has applied and heard back, how long did it take to hear?

Feb starters...how is everything going?

Things are going great! Very intense and I can tell its gonna be ALOT of work! We got our clinical packs today and we can take them home and practice if we want. Needles, IV stuff, gloves, and all sorts of stuff to play with. :)

Hi! I stumbled upon this. Is anyone accepted into the June 2011program?

Yes, I am accepted into the June 2011 program!

Great! Im so excited to start!

Great! Im so excited to start!

ME TOO!!! I am excited and scared all in the same emotion!! LOL! I have been doing pre-reqs for two years now, I am finishing up my final two, microbiology and nutrition.....so after two years of pre-reqs I am ready to MOVE ON! HAH!!

Wow, first 2 weeks went so fast......second test on Monday and starting clinical on Friday already. Am kinda nervous for clinical, though excited too.

Couple things for you guys starting in June.

Make SURE you get the right CPR certification. A couple people had the wrong ones and it is pretty much they have to hope they can get the right class in before clinical starts or they will not be able to attend.....I think they managed to get it, but most places only hold it once a month so it is hit or miss. It HAS to be American Heart Association BLS (basic life support) with AED for heath care providers.

With uniforms we HAVE to have one of the pairs of pants that THEY have selected for us to choose from. We can not just get any pair of white scrub pants....a couple of people mentioned that they hadn't and were told they had to get the required ones from the uniform store. I don't know how strict they will be about enforcing this though.

Deffinitly relax in the time you have off before you start....it is intense and a lot of info really quick once you start.

Once again, thanks for the info jguy!!!! Good luck with everything!

Where are you doing your clinicals at? I know Tina is 5B, I work on 5A!

Thanks. I am on 6A

Jguy is so right....relax now while you can!!! Very intense once you start. I see why they said this would go so fast! It all comes at you so fast you feel like you don't even have time to breathe!!! I'm sure it will be well worth it though. :)

we are up to 7 members on our FB page!! :-)

I wish you guys the best of luck! The hard work will be worth it. I have gotten the impression that st. mag's new grads are well respected in the hospital because they come out being very well versed I guess you could say! Keep up the hard work!!

Did anyone ever fail out of St Margarets the week before graduation? I have one more test and scared I may not make a 75% total. It has been a long hard program to fail out a few days before graduation.

Are you LPN program? Im not sure how their terms run. I just know next RN class doesnt graduate til october and has 2 terrms left. I don't think anyone on this thread can really help with your question. We all are either just started the RN program or there are several that will be starting the RN program in June.

I do know in searching this board for info on st margaret there was one person that did post several bitter posts about st margaret because of failing out at the very end, though I am not sure of which program. Thats the most I can help with. Though good luck. Hope to hear you do make it through.
