Petitioning for DCCC 2014 Nursing Program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Peace Everyone! I am currently a Pre-Nursing student at Delaware County Community College. I take my TEAS test July 30. I've been studying on and off since last month. I am trying not to be nervous about it. I'm beyond determined to get in! Is there anyone else who has taken the TEAS yet? what scores are considered good enough to get in?? My GPA is fine, and I will be complete all my pre reqs by next Spring. What scores would be considered TEAS test "Waiting List" scores?

You'll have to check with your school's nursing program (do they have their application point-allocation system posted somewhere?). Many nursing schools have different minimum passing scores (my program's was 70%, though I've seen that other programs will accept scores as low as 50-60%, which - yikes), and may allocate points based on both your overall and individual section scores. If you have a low GPA earning a very high TEAS score may boost you up into the acceptance range, and if you have a great GPA already then doing just okay on the TEAS probably won't sink your application. Again, it's going to come down to the competitiveness of the individual program you're trying to get into and how they dole out application points.

Good luck with the TEAS! (And don't stress yourself into a frenzy, I thought it was surprisingly easy for a college-level exam. ;))

I took the test in June and scored an 83% which put me in the 92nd percentile for the nation and the 93rd for DCCC Nursing Program. I am petitioning in August for the Fall semester but in the Chester County Section which means there are only 32 seats available. I am taking the test again next week to try and achieve a higher score. I am hoping that my 83% is good enough anyways since it is in the 93% for DCCC. Best of Luck!

Congrats on your high score. I think you have a great shot at getting in. Best of luck.

What was your TEAS test score? I scored a 78 and was in the top 15 on the list, I think the lowest score they took for this year was a 72. I start the program on September 3rd, super nervous! I'm doing Day program at Marple btw.

I got a 67 first try :-/ I'm retaking in a few weeks tho:-) def studying harder and working on my timing!

Congrats Christinacupcake!! Let me know how your first week is!!

I'm in the marple day program this year as well. So excited and nervous at the same time. I score low around a 65 or 66 I believe but was wait listed @ number 2 for a few weeks before receiving my letter of acceptance.

Hi, Im new to the site, and looking to petition for 2014. Im super nervous about the test. I have registered for the Teas prep class on 09/09 and I'm hoping to be ready to take the Teas right after completion. I'm lookin for any info on the TEAS. I'm 32 single full time working parent who wants to gain access to 2014 evening weekend program. Has anyone used the ATI version V book and scored high on the test? can anyone help with pointers? Is anyone also taking the prep class to prepare for the TEAS for 2014?

I did the prep course and used the ATI practice tests. Both really helped me!!! Ati tests are pricy but just like the test. I take it again next week.

So nervous!

Good luck!!
