Hello All,

I wanted to know if anyone has attended Neumann's nursing program. If so, could you please tell me what to expect? I'm just anxious and nervous about finally starting their evening program in May. What I'm looking for exactly is study tips, test taking strategies, and anything else you might want to add. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Ceema

I never said anything negative about your degree or your job title. You started attacking me just because I said Neumann nursing program is racist. That was my experience and you can't justify or debate with me about it.

I did not attack you. Pointing out that your assertion is incorrect is not attacking you.

Flower, I feel your attitude on this thread reflects your level of professionalism and, therefore, makes it very difficult to relate to or believe your story regarding this school. Additionally, I hope you treat the CNAs assigned to your patients with more respect than you have treated Red. Red has valid opinions on this topic. I believe having been a student in any degree program gives a person the ability to comment on quality of higher education with regards to fairness and racism. I also believe it's reasonable to give that person's opinion a bit of credit when they are able to express themselves with proper grammar.

I don't care what you believe. I'm not the first to give Neumann a bad review.

I'm not writing a research paper. I simply gave a honest review about Neumann. I don't have anything to lie about I did graduate from Neumann.

I graduated from Neumann in 82, BSN degree has served me well. Dr Rosalie Mirenda college president was my OB professor. The college has historically recruited minority members of the community to help the profession reflect the diverse community at large. Hey we had 4 males out of 26 students graduate in 82.

A heavy emphasis was placed on all the various supports available to students at start of classes each semester: tutors, writing center, teachers office open hours, councilors. etc. Despite peer encouragement, some students couldn't be bothered to take advantage of resources offered.

Thanks for being objective and not posting a negative comment about my experienced at Neumann. I read the articles and they were accurate.

Even though her post basically disproves your assertions and says that in her experience, Neumann works hard to increase diversity and is supportive of its students.

She stated her opinion without bias. She also said it was only four men in her class. She posted a article about minorities experience in nursing school which was accurate. She never degraded my experience. You have a serious problem why want you get a life.

She also stated that only 26 people graduated. When I started Neumann their was 180 students and only 35 graduated.

In 1982, as she said, 4 men in a nursing class was huge. Also, it seems their trend of extremely high attrition is something that's been maintained over a long period of time, meaning it's not new and they're not singling anyone out.

That chip on your shoulder is weighing you down. You should let go of it.
