U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hi all!

I just submitted my application for Drexels ACE fall 2015 program and was curious if anyone else has applied or heard back from admissions?

I have a 3.1 cGPA and around a 3.4 sGPA, is this considered competitive with past applicants?

Also, how is everyone planing on paying for this-I understand it's pretty pricey and aid packages aren't close to covering it...

Best of luck!

Hi! I submitted my application in early September for Fall 2015 ACE and haven't heard anything yet! I've seen that in recent years people heard around the middle of October. I have a 3.14 GPA from GW and a 4.0 in the prerequisites so far! Good luck!

thats great! I love that you find out so early if you were accepted to this school or not-it makes planning so much easier! Doesn't GW have a accelerated program (GW is george washington correct)?

Does anyone know where students typically live in this area?

They do have a program! I'm looking into applying there as well.

That's great!! The only thing I am worried about is my gpa

Hey Everyone,

I just submitted my application for the ACE fall 2015 program today! I currently am working on finishing up my Bachelors of Health Science degree. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.5, and Pre-Req GPA of 3.8. A couple of my friends are currently in the program and they found local apartments in walking distance cheaper than on campus housing. I cant wait to Congratulation everyone who gets into the program. BEST of luck to everyone!

Hi guys! I also applied to the fall 2015 accelerated program. I haven't heard anything back yet. I have finished all my pre-reqs and have a 3.34 GPA in them (I got a C in stats and English 1 back when I started in college) and I have a 3.98 GPA in my last 60 credits for my bachelors. I have previous experience as a medical assistant and a physical therapy aide. I also have my phlebotomy certification. I hope this is enough to get in! Good luck to everyone applying!!

Hey! I also applied for the Fall 2015 Ace program. They start to review our applications the day of the deadline (October 15th) so I hope we hear back shortly after but when I called they said it would probably be mid November to early December. I am currently a Psych major at UNC Charlotte. My cumulative GPA is a 3.9 and I have a 4.0 for my prereqs so far. I am finishing up A&P I and nutrition this semester and have to take A&P II in the spring. What other schools are you guys applying to?

I have no experience in medicine, do you think there are any basic nursing skills they expect you to come in knowing how to do? I am CPR certified but other than that I've got nothing!

I am freaking out about the price. I think loans are the only option after FAFSA :/ but job security is good and nursing pays well, especially if we go on to get a masters, so the degree will pay for itself in a short amount of time.

Good luck to everyone!

That's a awesome GPA so I really don't think you should be worried. didn't require a resume so I doubt that your health care experience will be a problem! I'm so anxious to hear back so I'm hoping its sooner rather then later. I'm from Oregon but I need a change of scenery so I'm applying to drexel, George Washington, MCPHS and quinnipac. I'm not positive which my first choice is since they're all good programs and close to the same price so it will probably depend on which ones get back to me soonest but since drexel is only 11 months it's a big plus!

Ya the price is defiantly very high. I'm hoping to get a scholarship but will probably need to take out a loan. It will be worth it in the end though!

Hi :) I did not go to .. I went to TJU but knew a lot of people who did go to Drexel. Honestly most people commuted to school but others either lived in the city such areas as olde city - rittenhouse - south philly ( most likely your cheaper option out of these three). Drexel is located in University City as I am sure you already know. I know you can most likely find "cheaper" housing options if you google UC Philly rentals. You can find some places within walking distance to the campus or a subway ride from campus. I am not sure how Drexel does the clinical sites but I was placed all over for mine so I needed a car to get to most of them. Just keep that in mind also :)

Hi everyone, I also applied for fall 2015. Has anybody heard anything back yet?

Not yet! I think I read somewhere we'd hear back 6 weeks after the deadline?
