If you had a patient that only had five percent of their heart working you would give them the best possible care right

I had a doctor tell me to discharge a patient with no follow up care they only had five

percent of their heart working what should I do?

What do you mean by the patient "only had 5% of their heart working?" I'm having a hard time imaging that such a patient could possibly be alive. The heart is divided into 4 chambers, right? So 1/5 of 1 chamber is all that's working? I think not. Do you mean ejection fraction of 5%? If so, that doesn't mean "only 5% of their heart is working."

What is the child's diagnosis? What was the reason for admission? Has the family, perhaps, decided to withdraw interventions?
