NY officials rescind mandatory flu shot order

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The state Health Department is rescinding its controversial order mandating swine flu shots for all health care workers, saying the vaccine supply is limited and should be reserved for the highest-risk groups.

Health Commissioner Richard Daines' earlier order that health care workers receive the H1N1 vaccine brought protests from workers who claimed it was unfair to force them to put a substance into their body.

On Thursday evening, Gov. David Paterson's office released a statement saying New York would be getting only about 23 percent of its anticipated vaccine supply by the end of the month, and that should be reserved for those most at risk for serious illness and death. That includes pregnant women and people under 24 years old.

I think it's hilarious now. Richard Daines ordered the health care workers to be vaccinated without checking to see if they had enough vaccine to do the job. Maybe he'll stop to think before he issues his next order.

His next order will hopefully be all healthcare workers get a million bucks. I mean, they couldn't afford it (and it would get recinded), but it'd be a nice thing to say.

They forgot we were a democracy

That's because we are supposed to be a constitutional republic. google for the differences. For many decades now, our Constitution has been systematically and purposely torn apart, buried clause by clause. The Patriot Acts, for instance, essentially negate the Bill of Rights. Read the text of the Acts and draw your own conclusion.

A lot of sneaky tricks have been forced upon us. The initiation of the whole taxation structure, requiring one's SSN every time you want to do anything - it is not required to have an SSN. It is extremely hard to deal with banks, tax returns, and many other outfits without one but there is no law requiring you or anyone else to have one. In fact, these organizations are required to tell you, if you ask, how to utilize their services without one. Same with registering your car. What possible could your state have in knowing about your cars? What is the purpose of this registration? Look at the license plates carefully. Do they say "For official use only"? What does that mean? It is NOT referring to the plates but rather to the vehicle. Define vehicle and automobile or truck. Not the differences. Define "person" and "straw man".

Same with a marriage license and driver's license. Why, in God's name, would you need permission from a state to get married? You are a consenting adult, marriage is legal. Why do you need anyone to grant you permission? How do Presidents get away with issuing Executive Orders? The Constitution does not grant them this power. Issuing those things makes them dictators. A president is not even constitutionally able to declare war. Rather, it is Congress that does it. How many of our brave young people have been lost to undeclared wars and "police actions" since Korea, Vietnam, all the cover actions in South and Central America, and even still today? And how much money has it cost us taxpayers?

Why was Congress not allowed time to read and debate the Bailout bills? They gave away billions and billions and billions to corporations and even foreign banks - yes, to their friends in other countries, for crying out loud - money that you and I have to give them from our pitiful incomes, while they pay themselves bonuses for failing. Oh, they did not fail. They succeeded in hoodwinking us. In suckering Congress. Oh, they're not failures in their pocketbooks. But where it counts, well, that's another matter. I know God sees. I know He will repay. But He still expects us to rear up on our hind legs and let our reps in Congress know we are not happy. We need to vote out all those who did not insist on reading the bills before committing us & our children to be raped. Watch Bernanake being questioned by Congress. He refuses to even name whick banks got our money.

Back to vaccines - I have heard lately that people who lived during 1957 and 1977, I think, might very well already be immune to Swine flu, as it circulated then, also. Maybe have titres drawn and put your minds at ease. I have also heard that it has caused sterility in some recipients and that now they are saying that pregnant women should NOT take it. Scary, scary, scary.

DO you have the orginal link to that article? And do you know if it applies to the seasonal vaccine we are required to get as well or just the H1N1.

From what I understand from listening to my local news, it applies to both.

I'm in missouri, my employer is mandating the seasonal and the H1N1 vaccinines...If we (nurses) refuse to take them, they are reserving the right to 'put us in non-direct patient care areas' and if there isn't enough positions in those areas, they will make us stay home with no pay other than using our vacation days...I'm not taking it...Waiting to see what happens!
