Looking for Pain Management Clinic, Ontario, Canada

Hi.

I'm trying to find a pain management clinic in South-western Ontario. My brother was dx'd with lung ca and had part of his right lower lobe removed 10 days ago. When he was 20 (27 Years ago) he was in a horrific motorcycle-car accident. He went into the door of the car and had been wearing an open faced helmet at the time. He had severe head trauma, and various broken limbs. At the time of his accident they had never seen a head trauma where the skull had been pushed back so far into the brain. In fact his case was written up in many medical journals. A couple of years later he had a sky-diving accident when part of his shute didn't open. Two broken legs. IM rodding to follow. I know what you're thinking, death wish, nine lives, jumping out of good planes etc... Since this he has lived with chronic pain which at times was incontrollable. He has kinda given up on the medical system and been self-medicating with marijauna. Well after 27 years he now has lung ca. I am 2,000 miles away and am having no luck trying to find a pain clinic that he could ask for a referral to. I'd appreciate any help/suggestions on how to find a link to a Southern-Ontario Pain Centre.

Thanks much, Ruby N.

I think there is one in Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, but I'm not sure.

Thanks so much I emailed the Page to my Mom. I told her to make sure they asked the surgeon for a consult. I'm hoping they will step back and look at the whole big picture. He's going to have a long road ahead of him, and I don't think he can do it alone.

Much appreciation, Ruby N.

Glad I could help

Hi Elly,

My brother lives in Oxford County. An update on his condition, turns out he didn't have lung cancer, but some kind of a fungus growing in his lung!!! Have you ever heard of anything so crazy! He actually still has chest tubes in to this day. They should be coming out any time now. He has a nurse that comes out once a day to check on him. That crisis is now over. He has told me if they were able to identify what kind of fungus it was in his lung. If you know the name of a pain clinic I would love to pass it on.

Thanks much P65 :kiss :thankya:

Hi Porche......There is a pain clinic in the Windsor area....Its called the DeLisle Pain Clinic..... This older gentleman used to work at one of the car manufacturers. and after he retired he created this electro magnetic device for controlling pain in his basement......There was so much media coverage about it...That he was finally able to open his own clinic...With more modern magnetic equipment ...but working the smae way as his original./ I think there is a website..Hope this helps you or someone else........El :
