  7. Hi Porche......There is a pain clinic in the Windsor area....Its called the DeLisle Pain Clinic..... This older gentleman used to work at one of the car manufacturers. and after he retired he created this electro magnetic device for controlling pain in his basement......There was so much media coverage about it...That he was finally able to open his own clinic...With more modern magnetic equipment ...but working the smae way as his original./ I think there is a website..Hope this helps you or someone else........El :

  9. Hi Angel::: I am an RPN in a Complex care setting in a hospital, actually on a palliative care floor...We have had RPN students on the floor for 1st semester . along with the teacher...The teacher usually asks the floor nurses which patients would be good to give the students...The list is then made and the teacher tells the student which patient it is...The student is responsible for coming in the hospital and going through the patients chart loooking for diagnosis, treatments, medications..reading the progress nots of other staff members..looking at dr.s orders. diagnostic tests.etc.etc. This way the student has a bit of insight into the patient before she actually meets them...... But at first. you will probably be given total basic to the patient and work your way from there...Then after the 3rd semester you will probably be buddied up with and rpn who will be your preceptor.........Hope any of this makes sense ...Good luck :)

  13. Hi....I live in Windsor Ontario and YES... there is definetely a Tims around every corner....We had a few Robins in the city..But the ones we did have were in terrible locations...Even the drive through ones....I didn.t find their coffee all that impressive...Tims on the other hand.YUMMMMMMMM...Guess you could say I.m a Timmy's addict.... I don.t know about the nicotine in it..but I think the cream they use makes a big difference. I heard the coffee itself comes from Mother Parkers ..but its Tims own blend :
  14. It depends on the site the duoderm is applied..If its a coccyx abrasion...They seem to wrinkle and make the abrasion worse... Sometimes ending up with a stage 1 or 2 wound.....
  15. We had a patient who had a necrotic scotum...The Dr. was at his wits end about how to heal it up....He told us do what you want and try anything.....We started applying vasaline guaze to the area with abd pads in the groin areas and around the scrotal area.....The necrotic scrotal area turn to mush which we debrided.......we continued with the vasaline guaze until it totally healed......It took about 3 months of daily PRN changes to the dressing.but it was effective.......
