Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Just wanted to start a thread where students (previous, current, and future) from the nursing program at Wayland can vent, talk, ask and share ideas and questions. Maybe it can make life easier and less stressful. So share and ask so we can help each other get through school and life somewhat stress-free!!

Or maybe someone has questions about the school and programs. I was originally going to transfer to UTHSCSA from ACCD but this program has less applicants and closer to home. If I would have known about this school sooner I would have not taken classes I took for UTHSCSA that I didn't need for WBU.

Hi! I just joined this site deciding what I should do regarding going to nursing school. Can you guys give me your opinion on Wayland Baptist Nursing program???

Are you taking the online nursing at Wayland still? I am interested in doing so but wanted to hear some feedback before I commit to them. Can you give me some insite?

I no longer go there!! But even if you wanted to go there which I advise against, they are not accepting students into the nursing program anymore. They lost their privileges until they get to an 80% nclex pass rate.

Janderson111 I'm going with baptist health, their pass rate is the best even though it's an ADN. UIW has an adcap program that I'll do my BSN through. I think baptist has a RN-BSN bridge program now so I'll figure it out when I get there. Just ticked about Wayland & their screwed up teaching methods. How's it going for u?

I totally agree with Meh619. If you are considering Wayland School of Nursing in S.A., RUN!!!!!! They just got their privileges back, but they are still screwed up. The nursing professor's are condescending toward the students and other faculty, they do not know what they are doing, and are not a cohesive unit on their methods and subject matter. More than half quit the first semester and there were not many to begin with! I am looking into another program and I suggest you do the same. If you need any more examples, feel free to contact me. Good luck!!

Hi I was wondering if you can tell me more about WBU BSN program I recently applied for the summer 2018 and now I'm having second thoughts after reading these posts :(
