The Catholic University of America's online FNP program, Spring 2014

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!

I was recently accepted into the online FNP program at The Catholic University of America. I plan to start in Spring 2014. I would really love to connect with anyone who is attending or planning to attend. If there is anyone out there that can share information about the program, please connect. I would like to know your thoughts on the programs rigidity, and would love to hear your ideas on how to secure preceptors.

Please connect! Thank you kindly!

Can you tell me more about the program you were accepted to? I found it online and was curious about it. Are there campus visits?

What's the cost of tuition?

Thanks

Tasha

Sure; dont mind sharing what I know. The total cost is $34,00. There are two campus visits required; semeter 5 and semester 8. I believe they are 3-4 days long. The program can be completed in under 3 years going part time. As far as the Pass rate for the NP national exam, they are at 100% pass rate for the past 2 years. Anything else, let me know! Cheers! Is the on-line program a new thing? I don't recall it being an option when I looked into CUA 3-4 years ago

That's pretty cool thanks for the info!

Hi Christine,

I believe the online program has been in place for 2 years.

Sure thing! Where did you apply for MSN/FNP?

Wasn't sure if you were asking me or not? I applied to Georgetown (wasn't accepted), Simmons college (application submitted should know in3wks), and university of Cincinnati (another wk or two I should know something)

Tasha,

Got it! Both Georgetown and Simmons have great programs. I contemplated applying, but I like the flexibility of reviewing lectures on my own time. Wish you the best! Hope you get in:)
