Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I've noticed there isn't many forums about the nursing program at tamucc...

I plan on taking their two online classes this summer and then start the nursing program in the fall! We can share the process here :) My stats are

GPA: 3.54

SCIENCE: 3.67

HESI: 87.7

CRITICAL THINKING: 880

Specializes in Critical Care, Education.

You may want to poke around in the Texas forum (under US in the yellow banner). That's where we all hang out.

Specializes in Peds, Med-Surg, Disaster Nsg, Parish Nsg.

Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools / Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.

Hey!

I've been trying to look for TAMUCC 2017 FALL forum and found this one only. Anyways my scores are

G.P.A 3.2

Science 3.67 too!

HESI 91.7

CT 820

I hope it's enough. I applied to other schools: UTH, TWU, UTMB but they are very competitive. TAMUCC is my 4th choice but if don't get accepted in the others TAMUCC will be a dream come true. In case this one doesnt happen either ADN lonestar is my 5th choice but it will take 3-4 years instead 1-2yrs to get a bachelor's in Nursing compare to the other schools. What location are your from? I'm in Houston area.

Sorry I'm just seeing this! I'm from Austin and currently in San Antonio finishing up my pre reqs! I applied to UT Houston but I know its super competive. I would be very happy to go to TAMUCC too! :)

If accepted would you be doing clinicals in San Antonio or Houston? How did you hear about the program. I was browsing NursingCas and found it. Hope I get in, not sure about my scores

When do yall find out if you got in or not. I'm just curious since I will be applying in June for the spring.

I didn't realize we did our clinicals elsewhere... Where did you learn? I knew of it because I have family in Corpus!

It should be early to mid April!

Well, I applied to the e-line program.

The eLine track coursework is completed online with the clinical component completed with a preceptor in your area (if available) and/or in a regional (i.e. Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston) and/or local clinical groups in Corpus Christi. Additionally, some (but not all) clinical components will be completed through virtual clinical experiences online. All clinical components must be completed within the state of Texas. The eLine pre-licensure nursing track is five semesters in length.

It works good for me b/c I live in Houston 30mn from medical center.
