Suffolk County Community College Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! I applied to the Spring 2018 evening program at Suffolk and am anxiously awaiting my admissions letter! Anyone know when we may start receiving them???

They said if you don't receive anything by Monday/Tuesday that you should call them for an update.

Does anyone know who the best person to speak to within Suffolks Nursing program regarding going over transcripts and improving academics. The general counselors dont seem to know all that much (same stuff thats in the catalog.) I went to a seminar at Grant and I know the two women who do it gave their email but I cant find their names. Andrea and someone else.....does anyone know ? Thank you 😊

My suggestion would be to retake anything C or lower. Aim for high TEAS test scores, as you can get 20-25 points just for a high TEAS score (according to the rubric) Definitely check the rubric out, and it'll help you better understand where you stand on a scale of 0-100.

@ngulino33 ... Her name is Andrea Bhella. I'm not sure if she meets directly with prospective students, but it doesn't hurt to give Grant admissions a call and ask.

Thank you TerryL428, I will reach out to her and check, its worth a try í ½í¸Š Donnasaurz, I got an 80 on the TEAS, AP1-B+, AP2- B, Stats- A, Intro Lit- A, Fresh Comp Eng- B, currently taking Micro so I calculated my rubric score to be 75.75 . I was told if you take AP1 or AP2, that regardless of final grade on the 2nd time, it will only be viewed as a C when it comes to getting points on the rubric. Ehh I will see what happens after I meet with the admissions counselor and submit my Fall 2018 app and also I am applying to Stony Brook too. I dont know how successful people are with appeals etc. Just keep pushing forward.

Katherine augierre is best to talk to she helped me tremendously

Thank you so much. I will look her up and make an appointment. :)

I am :)

Can you give me some info on the program? I am graduating my LPN in may and wanting to do the bridge but can't find much info on it! Thanks!!!

I don't believe they have the LPN-RN program for the fall semester. Have you checked their website? The info for the most part is there. I know that rubric can be confusing to read, but if you need help, let me know. It would also be helpful for you to attend one of their nursing seminars as they go over all of the information you will need to know.
