Spring 2017 UCF Concurrent Nursing

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!!

I have not seen any threads regarding the upcoming UCF spring 2017 concurrent nursing applications/programs, so here I am! The application window starts two weeks from today, just wondering who else is in the same (stressful) position as myself.

I am a UCF student am applying to both the Seminole State concurrent program and Valencia concurrent program. Feel free to add in your gpa and teas score if you'd like! I plan on taking the TEAS once more August 26th to try to improve my score. Will post my stats on a separate page :)

Hopefully we can all help each other out during this long process!

Hi Sarahxo,

How was your TEAS scores? i took once (wasn't really prepared but i tryed), so i will be retaking as well as soon as i will feel prepared. I will be applying this Spring to SSC AS program. Are you going to apply to BS to UCF as well or just concurrent programs to both colleges?

Yes, definitely we will need encourage each other!

I actually got the exact same scores on both attempts... Which was frustrating. They were both an overall 83.3% I scored 10% higher on the science the second time I took it but then my other scores either went down a little or up a little. How about yours?

And im only applying to the two UCF concurrent BSN programs at Valencia and Seminole state. It would've been too far of a drive for me to commute to Daytona or Cocoa for the spring UCF BSN programs there. UCF doesn't have a Spring nursing program at the main Orlando campus unfortunately, and I'm all finished with my classes so if I could start a program in January I'd rather do that than wait until Fall!

What do you have left?

My scores were a little over 70, I know I am not proud of it but I barely studied, so I think it's fair. I am taking ENC 2 and Chemistry right now and have history and 1 class of humanity to take over the Spring term if I want to finish my AA degree. I will try to apply to AS this Spring, though , if not- then Concurrent is my backup plan. I don't know why but I am scared of the Concurrent program, of the workload that is waiting while being in that program and being able to do all the work, and lastly to pass all the classes in "flying colors".

Hey!! Thank you for starting this thread! I applied for the VCC/ UCF Concurrent program for Spring '17. I know we won't hear back for a while, but I still check every day and have been officially marked as "Eligible" haha

I have two different overall GPA's because UCF's cumulative doesn't include grade forgiveness (this is my second go-around and years ago I wasn't as "focused"), so here are my stats:

UCF Overall - 3.22

VCC Overall - 3.53

Non- Science - 3.25

Science - 4.0

Teas - 92.7%

I'm so excited/ nervous!!

You will definitely get in with those grades and scores!! Did you only apply to VCC or SSC as well?

I only applied to VCC, concurrent and generic just in case.. I've been a student at VCC and UCF for the past couple of years. I chose concurrent because BSN at UCF is crazy competitive and I would've had to apply in the spring for fall start.

I check my email at least twice a day even though we probably won't find out until mid October. I applied day one so it's already been a month and I'm a mess haha

Hey guys! I didn't apply to the concurrent program, but I did apply to the generic program at Valencia. I emailed the health science department on Friday because it's been over 8 weeks since I've applied. I was told emails will be going out between this week and October 15th! Best of luck!! ☺️

Thank you so much! You applied way before I did so I don't know if my email will be in that group but man I hope it is! The suspense is killing me :nailbiting: Best of luck to you too!!

Hi everyone! I applied to the ucf/ssc spring 2017 on Aug 30. Last Friday was 4 weeks post application date. I know the website says we will find out in 4-6 weeks post application date. I have not heard anything yet. I read from previous years, applicants were informed 5weeks after the application date. This Friday is 5 weeks, but now with this storm coming, UCF is closed the next two days. í ½í¸ So I assume emails regarding acceptance won't be sent until next week. Has anyone heard from UCF or SSC?

Hi, I applied as well for the generic program. I submitted my application 9/1/16. When did you submit yours? When i went on their website it said accepting for summer. I really want to get in the spring. @j.andrews

I got my acceptance email from UCF today!!!! Email states Valencia will be sending theirs out on Thursday... Good luck guys!!
