Spring 2017 UCF Concurrent Nursing

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!!

I have not seen any threads regarding the upcoming UCF spring 2017 concurrent nursing applications/programs, so here I am! The application window starts two weeks from today, just wondering who else is in the same (stressful) position as myself.

I am a UCF student am applying to both the Seminole State concurrent program and Valencia concurrent program. Feel free to add in your gpa and teas score if you'd like! I plan on taking the TEAS once more August 26th to try to improve my score. Will post my stats on a separate page :)

Hopefully we can all help each other out during this long process!

Im going to try to sign up for that CPR class as well!

So you already purchased the Castle Branch package for the Background/ Drug test?

@Sarahxo

Oh yay maybe we'll be meeting soon then! Yes, I purchased the background check. Navigating Castlebranch was a little confusing at first, but I got the hang of it now. They verify things really quickly, usually same day! And they also have an easy to use app so I can check on the status of things right from my phone. EVERYTHING is verified through them so it's easy to keep track of all of the requirements in one place...

For the background check, you just fill out a question form online. Same for the drug test, then you have to download your order form to take to LabCorp. From there the lab sends the results directly to them and they verify. For fingerprints you have to download a form and take it with you to a UPS store to get your fingers scanned. Those results get sent directly to them as well.

For the immunizations/ physical, you have to actually scan and upload the forms filled out by the doctor's office. If you're using a CentraCare (and are not sure if your shot records are in the online database) make sure to take a copy of your high school transcripts since those usually have your immunization record on them. The CentraCare I used (Sanford) was used to getting Nursing students so they knew the drill. I did the physical, flu shot, PPD test, and Varicella titer and the total came to about $140.

Once we complete the CPR course, we scan the card and upload it to Castlebranch as well.

Hope this info helped anyone getting started with the whole process!

Hi everyone!

To those who got in the program, Congratulation! You made it so far! How is it? How do you like it so far? How heavy is the workload? Good luck on your studies!

Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools / Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.

Hey guys so I am applying for the fall 2017 nursing term at UCF and honestly I am very doubtful whether I stand a chance in being accepted.

GPA: 3.1

TEAS Score: I am taking for the second time next tuesday.

If I get a score in the 90s do you think that I could make it? (please be honest)
