Need Statistics..Failed UTA online... TCC an option?help?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am currently enrolled in the UTA RN to BSN program. I have completed all my core classes. But I am having a huge problem with the Statistics class. I attempted to take it once but was unable to finish and I am currently taking it now, and in much danger of failing it. I don't understand it :( Anyway, I work full time and taking traditional classes are close to impossible. I have heard that Tarrant County College offers a Statistics class, both online and traditional. Does anyone know or have an experience there with Statistics? The summer offerings seem weird, very short and everyday, what is the fall like there? Weekend college?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I took stats at TCC during the wintermester. It was a little intense, but not bad. I think they offer it as a Maymester as well.

Are you taking online, or in a classroom setting?

I enrolled in an online Stats course, and realized within one week that it wouldn't work for me, so I audited. I then took an evening, twice weekly course through the local CC. Much better!

I did fine with online algebra, so I thought Stats would be OK as well. Nope. Needed an in-person class.

Good luck!

Thank for your reply :) I am taking it online, I agree classroom setting would be best. I am looking into the local CC. They don't offer much for the summer, so hopefully I can get going with it in the fall.

I retook my statistics online at Grand Canyon University. It was healthcare based and I loved it! I got a D+ first time (25 years ago) and a 98 average with GCU. It was fantastic and I learned a lot. A lot of work (booklets--reading studies and answering questions and math & excel spreadsheets), but, completely doable!
