LPN-RN programs online?

Hi I am currently an LPN and have most of my pre-rec's done except for A&P and Microbiology for the bridge and I am trying to decide what route to go. I am trying to decide if the College Network is a good option or not? The only thing keeping me back is the $$$ and the fact that I don't know many people that have done it. It looks like it will cost about $19,000 including tests and books. I am a very disciplined student so I know that I will make the time to study but I am worried about the cost and the fact that it is all online. I would love to just do a Bridge program the regular way but I fear I will be wait listed as I was for in the past which is why I went for my LPN. Does anyone have any experience with online bridge programs or advice?

Keep reading, forget college network and go straight through Excelsior. College Network is not a college, all they do is sell you over priced study guides. Google College Network and see for yourself

Really Ill definitely check that out b/c I was told college network is cheaper then excelsior even though its the same program because there are no books etc and everything is online? Thank you for the info!!

The college network is not a school, they are not accredited , they CANNOT grant degrees nor can they give you eligibility for licensing as a registered nurse. They offer tutoring services as they are only a publishing company and they are not affiliated with Excelsior. They will charge you several thousands of dollars for "custom study guides" via private loan ( not a student loan) that are IN ADDITION TO the application, tuition, fees, exam fees required by Excelsior. They cannot determine your suitability for admission only an EC admissions rep can do that.

If you decide to not move forward with TCN, you are still obligated to the contract and loan terms.

TCN is not cheaper than going directly through Excelsior if anything it will double to triple the costs you would pay going directly through Excelsior.

Hello, I'm also interested in on-line bridge program. So, is Excelsior the way to go? Have any of you use them before? Thanks in advance!

It depends in the state in which you plan to practice nursing. Anywhere from 12 to 15 states have restrictions on granting licensure to Excelsior's graduates, and California will no longer issue a nursing license to Excelsior graduates.
