Lone Star Fall 2017 ADN! Hesi Advice Given! Criminal Record Inquiry

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello future nurses!

I completed my HESI after taking it 3xs (really crammed a few days before each time and finally learned enough).

I struggled with only A&P each time! Final score was 82%. I KNOW I could have done better if I put more effort. With working 12 hour shift/Full time student/ Full time mother I just didn't have the energy to prepare as well as I should have! Needless to say, I'll be applying this week for BOTH LVN and ADN for all campuses!

Making sure that just in case I don't get in ADN silk have something to fall back on!

-Another thing, your hepatitis B series have to be COMPLETED for this application. Wasn't like that in the past... you only had to start it... 6 month process if you've never gotten it... but make sure you are working on getting that COMPLETED! Total of 3 shots!

I passed AP 1,AP 2, ENG 1301 & 1302 w/ B's!

If I'm not mistaken, the LOWEST average for calculations for ADN FALL 2016 was typically around 7.0! Also have to take in to consideration HCC students had to transfer!

Im excited for everyone reading this! I will be doing a Video on YOUTUBE to help with the HESI test... I took a few questions and examples from my "memory" and will discuss them. ESPECIALLY from AP section!

-Side note... is anybody else dealing or have dealt with the BON regarding criminal record clearing? I know someone who has a Class A misdemeanor (non-violent/drug/alcohol related) any news on that?

Hope to hear from you all throughout this process! Don't be shy!

Not trying to be rude, but when you use exclamation points for practically every sentence, they lose their impact.

As to your question about criminal records, we actually have a forum devoted to this here at AN. Many AN members have dealt with this, and they can be very helpful.

Here is a link to that forum:

No can do. I was a teacher before becoming a nurse. It infects your DNA and you cannot control it.
