Jeff State Spring 2015 Hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello all! I am transferring from UAB to Jeff State after two unsuccessful attempts at getting into the nursing program over there! I just spoke to the adviser and will be applying with 224.5 points. I had 2 A's and a B in my pre-reqs, and studied for a month and got an 88.7 on the Teas-V. She said that my application was very competitive, and I find it ironic/surprising that I can be competitive at one program and "not on the radar" so to speak at another! Ha! I guess it goes to show that you should never give up on your dreams -- if one avenue won't work just try a new one!

Anyways, I know it's super early, but I couldn't resist starting this post!! I hope to make some new friends so we can help each other study and be the best we can be! Good luck to all!

Haven't decided yet.

Don't waste your time at Jeff state. Their NCLEX pass rate is awful and will be even lower when 2014 is tallied up. So many of my classmates are still unemployed and several failed the NCLEX multiple times. You're much better off getting a BSN from somewhere because you'll need that eventually anyway.

Does anyone else hate the scrubs?? The material is awful.

I am recent graduate and have ALL my books. Fundamental Success, Pediatrics Success books and I will sell them all for 100$. Defiantly worth way more then that. Let me know if you are interested

Hello all, I have a question. I currently have 187.5 points, and was really thinking about taking the Teas again. Can anyone give me some advice on if they would retake the Teas with my current score? I'm applying to the Night/Weekend program this fall.
