Nursing Students School Programs
Published Jun 22, 2017
Hey guys! Thought I would go ahead and make one for Spring 2018! Comment if your applying and what campus! Does anyone know if the requirements will change like going back to the Teas or keeping the ACT test?

Gosh I'd rather just get the "nope, not this time" email that I can delete and forget about than wait any extra time just to have physical evidence of something kinda sad

They send rejection letters by mail
That's misleading because that first email they sent said ALL correspondence was through the Jeff State email ONLY.

Maybe some people won't take their seat and the cut off will go lower. Who knows. The email they sent a few weeks ago from the advisors said all rejection and acceptance will be through emails this year

I totally agree about the ACT, and from what I was told they are working on that because they do not like the way it is setup. One test do not overweigh an straight "A" student with a high GPA. Now about the 7 points, they feel like the newer students need an advantage since some people have already had a chance, I somewhat agree with that, but 7 points out of 10 is a lot. Maybe 3?? and the rest can go towards GPA? Maybe the next fiscal year will be different, HOPEFULLY!! Best of luck to everyone and I pray either way it goes that you keep trying. Do not give up!! That has always been my mindset.

Well, my rejection letter for fall was sitting pretty in my mailbox lol.
Were you in the LPN or RN program before?
No, fall was my first time applying to any program.

I was told by the advisor that last semester they sent acceptance emails and mailed rejection letters but that this time it would all be done by email.

I haven't heard anything yet and I think they should change their system as well . I actually got into UAB's nursing school for spring 18. Jeff state should look for candidates on a well-rounded basis just like UAB does.
Congrats to everyone ! í ½í¸Š
I asked because you mentioned the 7 points, so you should have gotten them if you were not in a program before.
