  1. there are differences, just make sure it's the BLS.
  2. I got mine through the Hoover fire department and it was only $15 which was the cheapest I've ever found. The class was only like 2-3 hours. After the class was complete, they send the certificate electoronically in 3-5 days. They only offer the class 2 Saturday's a month and they fill up pretty quick so I'd go ahead and sign up for a date if you want to attend their session.
  3. Lol I don't think they can pull your seat after accepting you unless they find out you were already in a RN program and didn't disclose it. I don't think you have anything to worry about! Waiting for fall is an smart idea, Im just tired of waiting and wanted to get started ASAP. just make sure you have around 38 points for fall.
  4. When I talked to the advisor, she told me that once you accept your seat then you're officially in the program & the 7 points are gone if you want to reapply. She been told me about a guy who accepted his seat but had something come up and wanted to wait until the next semester, but lost the 7 points because he already accepted his spot. I would still ask the nursing department for details because there's always a possibility that you could apply for fall while still getting the 7 points.
  5. It's okay, they'll reply tomorrow as long as you responded to the original acceptance email.
  6. Yeah, she just said "Great!" Lol. Congratulations everyone!
  7. I got accepted to Shelby with 36
  8. I'm almost positive that we will find out next week.
  9. Dosage cal & I heard the new schedule is one lecture day (like 4-6 hours), one lab day and one clinical day. So 3 days out of the week. Obviously this could change since the summer semester is shorter.
  10. Yeah when I turned in my application she was telling me that it would be smart to wait until fall to apply because a lot of covered in the first semester and the summer semester is extremely short. She advised me to not work at all...this would also be the first summer semester with the new curriculum (I heard people aren't passing the math test in order to move into the second semester). I told her that I'd rather my first semester be hard rather than my 3rd, which would be a medsurg class over the summer if I applied in the fall.
  11. An advisor told me to expect an email around March 6th. And it seems the cut off decreases depending on the semester with fall always being the highest. Fall 2017 was around 38-37, spring 2017 was around 36-35. Gpa also plays a role.
  12. Shelby 1st. Jefferson 2nd. 36 points Jefferson campus is apparently starting 2 weeks early because so many fail the first semester in the summer (per nursing advisor)
  13. 99. 55 at Shelby 44 at Jefferson
  14. No, fall was my first time applying to any program.
  15. Well, my rejection letter for fall was sitting pretty in my mailbox lol.
