Hey everyone I'm starting this post to see who is applying to the fall 2018 LPN program at forsyth. If you are what option are you choosing (day or weekend)? and what is your total amount of points.

Hey futurenursemo , CNA: I applied for Fall 2018 practical nursing program and I chose evening and weekend at stokes campus. total points was 86.

hello cookie092418, CNA I also chose the evening and weekend at stokes campus. I just have to take my teas and then I will be able to submit my application. I had 102 points for the 2017 year but I missed the deadline and unfortunately my teas has expired so now I have to take it again. so hopefully I'll get a good enough score to apply for 2018

Sounds great. I did my MARS review and my teas scores was 64.0, so they told me I was good but they said if I wanted to take teas I can. Did you get the new dates and times for teas test? The score for teas test for PN program is 42. I also went met with nursing teachers and got the textbook list.

HI , I just just moved to NC from NY and applied to the RN program at forsyth , unfortunatly 2 of my classes did not transfer and I didnt score high enough to be competitive for the ADN program. I was encouraged to apply to the LPN program for fall 2018 . I will be retaking the teas Next week . HOnestly I would have to score high 80s to be able to have enough points . my points for lpn program was 96 . Are any of you guys considering the LPN to RN route eventually ? IM thinking of applying to the RIBN program.

I am applying to the Main campus day program and I have 87.3 total points so I don't think it's competitive enough. However, I have a plan B if it falls through. :yeah: I also took the TEAS test and made 63.3% w/o studying:unsure: (I'm taking 3 pre req classes atm & working fulltime), but I do plan to retake it once I finish both of my A&P classes. However, it looks like the minimum for PN its 42% and ADN is 60%.

Yes , the min for Pn is 42 I scored a 62 on the teas but bc 2 off my classes did not transfer I only had 118 points towards the ADN . I will be retaking the teas Wed the 21st . Im trying to study and see if I score high enough to be competitive for the Adn .

Good luck on your teas test Wednesday! if you go the LPN route first this fall, its 3 semesters then after gaining the 6 months mandatory experience you could apply for the LPN-RN at Forsyth tech fall 2019. Another option is LPN-BSN at Forsyth Tech/WSSU. Either way it's about the same amount of time, the Traditional way or split up. For ADN if I applied now I would only have 111.3, but assuming I passed at least with a B in A&P I should have 159.3 points for Spring 2019. The only downfall would be having to take 2 big exams at the end, the PN and RN nclex.

Hey could you post the list of textbook

Hey cookie092418 could you post the textbook list

stokes is a good option also. its not as competitive as main campus. I'm not sure if night classes is something you could do right now but its definitely an option.

Hey have you already been through the program futurenursemo if so which one and how was it
