CSN Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

This is my first time posting - doesn't seem to be too much activity on here anymore with CSN students. Anyone else planning to apply for Spring 2018? I'll be finishing BIOL 251 in the summer to be ready for the Sept 1 deadline! I'm hoping for the part time program but hoping it isn't a mistake to apply for part time since they accept very few students for that program. I'm curious how many points people applied with / got in with for previous semesters to see if I have a good chance. I think the calls for Fall 2017 went out this week.

Hello! I am also applying for the Sept 1 deadline for the Spring 2018 start. I am just finishing my math prerequisite at UNLV. I spoke to my advisor and he told me I have a pretty good chance of getting in, I too want to enter into the part-time program. It sucks you cant apply for both tracks. If you apply for the full-time track and there is space available for the part-time are you allowed to switch over? Best of luck!

Yes you are allowed to switch to the part time program if you are accepted to full time and the pt has open spots! The full time track isn't an option for me so I have to just apply for pt and hope I have enough points to get in!

Do you have healthcare experience? You can get 2 extra points from experience alone. Also have you spoken with an advisor yet? They're very picky on attending orientation, limited entry workshop and meeting with an advisor prior to applying..

Is it possible to apply for Spring 2018, even though you're taking BIO 223 in Fall 2017 and the application deadline is September 1st?

I heard someone was able to do that, but I'm not exactly sure.

Hi! Im applying for Spring 2018 Regular Track. So far, I have 30 points without the TEAS score. I went to my advising appointment earlier today and she told me that she had students get in at the minimum of 25. Also, Register for your TEAS test, I registered for Aug 26 at CSN. I called the Limited Entry Coordinator Debbie to check if the test scores will be submitted on time. She confirmed and said yes since the score results are shown after taking the test. Good luck!

The required prerequisite courses such as BIO 223 has to be completed before the deadline

Is the TEAS test the only thing holding you back? I passed everything except for the reading section by 7% lower than the accepted 75% (the new lowest requirement they will allow). I just asked the director if anything else could be done as I've found in other forums that they will do a memo. I'm still hopeful!

Do you recall who you spoke with? I just took my Teas for the second time and I received a 74.5% in reading this go round while I received an 87% on my initial exam, I really hope I'm still able to apply on the 1st of September. I've got everything else done; my teas are the only thing holding me back. UGH!! i'm going to be so mad if half a percent derails me.

I turned in my application for the Spring 2018 Full Time program a couple weeks ago and I have 38 points. I've completed all the required prerequisites already and nervously waiting to find out whether or not that I was accepted. I'm so nervous that I messed something up on the application and I'll be set back another semester. Does anyone know when they let people know whether or not they've been accepted? October?

Does anybody know how often you can take the tease exam and does there need to be anytime between each exam?
