CSN Spring 2018
Is the TEAS test the only thing holding you back? I passed everything except for the reading section by 7% lower than the accepted 75% (the new lowest requirement they will allow). I just asked the director if anything else could be done as I've found in other forums that they will do a memo. I'm still hopeful!

CSN 2017 ADN program!
Someone please explain the KAT memo... I am desperately trying to get into the ADN program for Fall 2017 LPN Bridge as I've taken the LPN program at CSN... I really cannot delay this any longer... However... It all depended on whether I passed this KAT exam today or not. I scored really really high for all categories EXCEPT for the Science portion, which I'm very upset at myself but after reading all your posts, it seems as though that this memo may just solve my problem & help me get into the program. Who, what, where will I get this memo from? I'm guessing my best bet is to speak to someone in the nursing office but if someone here could provide me with better insight on this, would greatly appreciate it!

Should I quit nursing school
NO don't QUIT!! i was a full/part-time student, full-time worker, pregnant during my last semester of school. i worked nights, 3-12 hour shifts, minimal sleep, some support, already had a child from a previous relationship, and i was almost ready to quit! just find some classmates that you can get good notes from should you ever need to, try to find time in between classes, before and after school, study in your car while you are on break or going to or from home, find any extra time you may have to yourself just to go over the lessons learned for that week. the trade-off is huge!! it will make such an impact on your current life, nursing is job security, yet rewarding! if you already made it this far, and was accepted into nursing school, consider yourself lucky, there are a million other people out there dying to be in your shoes. trust me!

CSN and NSC equivalent classes
So are pretty much any of the instructors for the history classes needed for the Nevada history requirement easy? I thought knocking both classes with the PSC 101 would be better and cost-efficient but looks like I rather pass and pay more lol

LPN program at College of Southern Nevada
Hi there, is it pretty easy to apply and get a job at a hospital in LV? Or did you go through an agency? Here in California, they require a year's experience before you can get into a hospital.

LPN first it seems
Which hospital is that? Desert springs? I'm trying to work at one while I'm working on either LPN or RN depending on which one i get accepted to

LPN program at College of Southern Nevada
Whoops! Sorry! I actually was looking into the LPN program since it seems like its easier to get into. Where are you working as a CNA? Hospital or LTC?

CNA program at Northern California Nursing Academy
I am, I just started today and so far I think I like it. I heard lots of good things about it and their main focus is to help you and make sure you pass the exam. I definitely think I am in the right place esp. since there is no waiting list, very convenient and affordable, and very flexible. I am taking the night class. I definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to get your foot in the door into the nursing field and if you are on the road to becoming an RN like myself!
