Chamberlain College of Nursing Jacksonville Fall 2013

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone! This is my first post and I am very excited because I will be attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in the fall. From the very beginning, I wanted to attend Chamberlain instead of attending the 2 year associates program at the college I was previously attending. Is there anyone else in Jacksonville FL who will be attending Chamberlain in the Fall? I am super ecstatic and I can't wait to start in September. Also, I would love to hear any advice, opinions, or suggestions from people who have and are attending nursing school. Thanks

Hi there,

I also start Chamberlain in Sept. and I can't wait!!! Which day/time did you chose for your orientation? Mine is Aug. 22nd from 10-2! So excited to find someone who is actually starting the program with me. Unfortunately I haven't had enough posts on here to private msg yet, but I am on Facebook. Feel free to add me..(just send a msg telling me you are from allnurses) it's Mykela Preyer Phillips. Look forward to hearing from you

Hi Mykela! I actually wrote you on facebook like a week ago, but I got no response. I will try again or you can find me it's Mercedes Hardin. I wanted to attend orientation that day, but I have something to do so I will be attending orientation on the 21st. I am very excited though, and I'm sure we will eventually be able to meet soon! :)

Hey, I am starting in September as well. I am excited but nervous too. I will be at orientation on August 21 from 2-6pm. I look forwarding to meeting some friends through out this experience. I think it will help the time go by fast also study partners. What kind of schedule does everyone have ? Are you guys starting from the the very beginning or are you transferring in any credits ?

Hi @jnesset! I will also be attending orientation on the 21st at 2-6. I am also looking to make new friends as well so I can get through nursing school. I have a friend that will also be attending with me, but most definitely I will need study partners. I am transferring in 50 credits. Also, for my first session I will be taking Transitions into Nursing and Patho I. For my second session, I will be taking Patho II and Health and wellness, so I will be starting my clinicals in January. What will your schedule look like?

Congrats ! I recieved my BSN from Chamberlain-was not easy, but great-the staff, instuctors, office staff everyone was so nice and always willing to help. The instructors are competent and so down to earth. When you send them a message with a question or a (cry) for help-they get back to you quickly with encouragement and reassurance. I would love to go back for my MSN-but they arent taking students for the Master's program from my state at this time.

Thank you so much @msjchuck for your feedback. Classes are approaching so quickly and I start next week. I am confident that I will do well. Thank you so much again.

How are the classes going for you Mercedes? I looked you up on Facebook and seen that you were from NC. I live about an hour from Fayetteville and I am thinking of attending the Chamberlain Jacksonville campus probably starting the summer of 2015.

Msjchuck,

Congrats. Did you ever go back for you MSN? I know nursing school will be tough. I applied for Spring 2016. It's just refreshing to see a post from someone who actually completed the program and has good things to say.
