OU ABSN 2018 (2017 Applicant)

Hey there! I am looking to apply this fall for the 2018 OU ABSN program. Any others find their way here yet?

I am still finishing up my first bachelor's degree but will be done in Dec. 2017. I was told that I can still apply in the fall.

I am expecting rejection or waitlisted due to the fact that I won't be finished with my degree, and my cumulative gpa is pretty rough. Hoping to have a 4.0 in last 60 and a 4.0 in Science with a pre-reqs completed to give myself a shot.

Would love to find others on this same journey!

Question for those who were accepted - are you having problems getting the orientation information online? I accepted my letter and paid the deposit and then clicked on ‘Program information.' That took me to a page that said select your acceptance status. Under accepted there is a link they say you should check out. When I click on it it wants me to login. The problem is I don't have credentials.

I figure I'll give them a day to send out info before emailing them.

I also was trying to look at my program information for acceptance and I emailed her and she said "you will receive an email from OUHC IT To set up your username and password, it will come in a few days"

Thank you!! I'll monitor my email for that! Hopefully they figure out soon when Orientation will be. I had thought it might be this Friday but since they are late, who knows.

Right lol it should be this week but who knows. Last year Orientation was this I think the 18th or so. Which campus are you at?

Seems they sent an email out about being on the wait list. Anyone else get an email?

Just got the email saying I'm an alternate. As I suspected, they want to see the grades for my current outstanding prerequisites. I'm actually quite relieved as a large portion of last year's cohort were from the waitlist. Better than an outright rejection!

Alternate as well, knew that was coming. Don't know why it took them so long. Hopefully I actually get in off the waitlist this time though

Does anyone know if we send our updated transcripts directly to OU, or still go through NursingCAS? Grades for this semester were just posted today and I want to send them over ASAP in case spots start opening up. I'm worried NursingCAS will take forever.

No, your not the only one. I haven't heard anything yet either. I emailed Debbie, to find out what is going on. Extremely frustrating.
