Nursing Students Ohio University

I am taking NRSE 4550 Spring 2 2013. Who else is in this class?

I find it amusing that we have to use the lock-down browser to take these tests. I don't even think that Google would know the answers! This is not a reflection on week 4's test (I haven't taken it yet), just a general observation of the class. One more week!

As a recent grad let me reassure everyone by saying this is one of the worst classes by far. You'll get through it! Good luck...A or B just plow through.

Mary-I didn't realize you have 16 months to go! Is it because a lot of your classes didn't transfer?

Yup, the recruiter mislead me saying 'we give you credit for all of your prior learning". Of course my Dars wasn't ready before I had started the program, and after I started, I found out that because I am a diploma grad, and the stuff was integrated in the Nursing classes and not stand alone, they didn't transfer. They only gave me credit for Micro and A&P, and the "lower division" nursing classes.

When all done, I will have taken 22 courses. That really is ridiculous, to have gone to school for 3 years and then an additional 3 years to get a 4 year degree.

That stinks! I am so sorry you had to suffer through all that. :(

I am a diploma grad too, and everything of mine transferred-even classes that were twenty years old. The only class I have to take is the Junior Comp class and a cross cultural class! I am really sorry you have to take all those classes-that is a bummer.

HI fellow classmates. Anyone taking Leadership the next five weeks?

Anyone look at week 5 DB post yet? It says to go to AHRQ, review the EBP clinical reports, then choose 1 topic and read the summaries from 3 reports. Only some of the topics have 3 reports, and most don't have summaries. Am I overthinking it?

I'm in as well- guess we need to start a thread...

No I had the same problem. I wanted to discuss IV's since we do a tremendous number of them in ambulatory surgery, I could only find one article about IV's and that was about smart pumps. I then looked at "surgery" and there were about 15 articles, some of them pertaining to ambulatory surgery. So I guess when you are looking for a topic, pick a BROAD category. Feeling like I don't want to put that much effort into it, since it is only worth 10 points.
