March 26 start

Nursing Students Ohio University

Anyone else planning on starting the program on March 26? I just got off the phone with admissions and they have my transcripts. After my info as been through "two checkpoints," I'm supposed to receive a welcome packet in late February. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

Good luck to you! We come here to vent a lot sometimes - and to help each other out. I think most of us are pleased with the program - well, I am. TA's are a challenge as you will find. Some are absolutely great - I have been fortunate. But from the comments of my fellow OU peeps - other TA's are :banghead:

I just started. It is a very organized program once you are in! It took a long time to get my "welcome packet" they wait very last minute for that. My suggestion is to go ahead and buy the books for the classes you want to take and start reading them. No time like the present.

I am taking two classes at a time...which is doable because I don't work very many hours (about 5-7 days a MONTH) otherwise if you are working a lot...I would take one nursing class at a time. There is a lot of work to do during each week which is referred to as

"modules" You have to complete the work in each module ON TIME or you risk flunking the class. As long as you get your work done and do it according to instructions you are fine.

Good luck

I applied to start, but am still waiting to hear. I need to call and follow up. When did you apply? It said a while ago they had my transcripts, and I was just waiting on the final eval and an acceptance. But I misplaced all my log in info, and I accidently set it for all emails to go through the schools email. So I have to call and get my log in information, and make sure I haven't recieved any emails.

Honestly, you will likely find out two weeks before the start. I am serious. I started on 2 January and did not receive email welcome packet until just before Christmas.

Im also hoping to start March 26th.If my memory serves me right i applied in October and im yet to get a response.Hopefully i will get it sooner than later

I never received a welcome packet. I found out my start date about ten days beforehand by calling the school of nursing, repeatedly. The whole enrollment process is a nightmare, but the program itself is well organized. Just keep saying, "I can do anything for 5 weeks." It's the only way to get through some classes.

Well, it's February now and I will start looking out for my welcome packet later in the month.

I was very surprised when i recieved a call yesterday from OU letting me know they haven't forgotten about me.They said they have all me documents and my paperwork is at the last stage in the review process. In addition she said i should hear from them ending of february or early march.

I got my acceptance email today!!! They will get to you ladies. I called last week to follow up, and got an email response like 2 days later. Now a week later I'm in.

I'm so happy at least they started sending out acceptances. Did they send it to your OU email or your personal email. For some reason i'm not able to get into my OU email.

I got 2 emails to my regular email.. the first one saying Congrats, you are offered admission, followed by another with a ton of info in it, which included making sure my Catmail was working. Then the welcome pack was in my catmail.

Do you have your ohio ID? Call the help desk and they will help you fix whatever the problem is. I had to call them because I had misplaced all my log in info. Once you get the first acceptance email, all future corespondence is sent through the OU email.
