Starting this family nursing course in January and from what I hear this is going to be a hard course. I am looking for the support of my fellow class mates, or any hints from those who have previously taken the class. Thank You.

I've not had my TA before either. So we'll see. She's also a nursing instructor.

I'm not understanding this Therapeutic family letter. Are we writing it to the family in the case study?

I am writing the theraputic family letter based on the case study from the book. This also includes only the interventions that were stated in the book. Which means that much of the information is coming from the book, yet we are not supposed to include a reference for the book. I am confused especially since this paper is going to be checked for plagarism. Also found is VERY hard to write the letter at a fifth grade level and incorporate the Nursing Diagnosis. Still its done.

Take the same case study that potentially thousands of people are doing/did but don't make it look or sound anything like anyone else's otherwise we'll accuse you of cheating. Sounds simple enough. Ha ha. Good luck everyone!

I am not a fan of this therapeutic letter. I stink at writing nursing dx's, and it seems as though all the information is already summarized in the case study. Sooo..we just reword it into a letter?

I am curious as I just stumbled onto this thread, but would a person always cite their references in the body of the letter or just list the references at the end...? I am not in any on-line class but learning some APA guidelines....

I don't know that you would ever list something in the references without citing it in the body of the paper. If it's in the body, it better be in the references!

Thanks for the insight. I look things up as well, but I get confused once in a while. Thanks!

Hello, just joining this thread. I have yet to recieve my book for this class and it won't be delivered until the 21st. Is there any way someone could tell me what the case study states. I would greatly appreciate it. Kinda freaking out here since my book isn't here. Thank you!!!

How long did everyone's therapeutic letter turn out to be? The instructions said 2-3 pages double spaced. Mine is 2 pages. Just curious. I didn't know if I should add more to it.
