Thought I would start a new thread on my next class coming up. I know Delta...you have already taken this class, and have commented elsewhere about some of the requirements.
Any words of wisdom you and others can share whould be appreciated.

Yep, me too. The reading takes much longer than you would expect. Thank goodness we got a jump start!

3 or 4 hours my foot! I have been working on the statistical data for much longer than that! Still have to write my analysis and come up with ND. Gotta love statistics - especially "self reported" statistics to the census bureau. According to them - my county isn't overtly obese ... HA! Someone LIED to the census bureau
Anybody have any luck with the death statistics? I'm having a hard time finding those. Maybe WHO website will be better?
I found most everything at the CDC or at Kaiser StateHealthFacts.org
Yep, statehealthfacts.org is good. I can't believe how much time I've put into this assignment. Geez!
I actually had to walk away from this messI also need to do the diagnosis and analysis. I did my introduction DB and they won't let us post it until midnight....hahaha....can't win today! Yes, this is what 5 credits is like! My TA sounds very friendly, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Much calmer this class. Crap it only took me 4 classes to get that way

I have had my TA in my last course, she was fair with her grading. I am in sect 103. What about you guys? This class is very time consuming and I hope it gets better cuz I am taking stats with it!!! Dumb, but I have already committed.
I'm in 121. My TA said there are 56 sections! Stats too???? Good luck!
Section 102. Just took the preassessment quiz .... LOL. Gonna be a looooooooonnnnnnnnng 5 weeks cause I don't know diddly!!

Almost done with the first assignment, just a few more stats to find, write my analysis, and nursing diagnoses...So far, I'm only about 2 hours into it. Doesn't seem horribly time consuming...yet! Then again...my time consuming class was Family nursing, so compared to that, this is a piece of cake. Statistics, I can easily find and transfer...
I'm sure I've spent in excess of 10 hrs between the assignment and reading. If you live podunksville it's much harder.

I took Community Health at Kent State before transferring to OU. When I compared the syllabus, the assignments were exactly the same. Pretty straightforward but VERY time-consuming! I was glad for it to be over, but I learned a lot about the resources in my community. You can do it!
