455 Excellence

Nursing Students Ohio University

So I thought I would tell you about my adventure so far with excellence..

Mod 1:

2 "assignments"- one looking at various websites to figure out what they do for the US, not to bad, the second assignment was all about the US Global Health Initiatives, aka ObamaCare, I struggled with this one because well I have major disinterest in the subject

we also had a DB, not bad responses didn't need sources

Mod 2:

Uh.... how about 5 assignments this week... and 2 DBs... some of the assignments weren't hard, i mostly struggled with the DBs because one was about medicare and medicaid, and one assignment was all about the various types of insurance, HMO PPO PSO etc.. VERY exhausting

As of 12:42AM 4/25/2012…I'M DONE WITH MY BSN PROGRAM :yeah:

Now I get to have my life back

.

Delta - congrats to you!! We are going to miss your wise words of wisdome here. Best of luck to you!!!

Just got the QSEN paper left -- wahoo!!! Goal is to be done before I go to bed tonight :) VERY DOABLE!!!!!

Congrats Steph!! You have worked very hard - I am going to miss you around here!

Rninme…I'll check in from time to time to offer words of wisdom until the program COMPLETELY changes in the Fall. Then I won't know WTH is going on…LOL

I just submitted the QSEN paper and am now done with NRSE 455! Too bad I still have another 5 weeks of Nutrition and Business Comp to go...

You have a few of us now who are done and will gladly help you along the way. The NO QUIZZES alone makes this class enjoyable….

Thanks deltaroxxy!! What about all of the "activities", are they timed? I noticed they aren't available yet, even though the class is posted. There seems to be a lot of discussion boards... those can get time consuming. I looked at the syllabus and it looks overwhelming. I will be taking 455 with the last half of Jr. Comp. Just a little nervous.

Trust me when I tell you this class is a breeze in comparison to other classes you've taken. Comp will be more taxing than this class. There are a lot of discussions, but nothing where you have to search all over the place to find info. Absolutely NOTHING is timed. Just your typical post DB by Friday, respond by Sun…ALl assignments due Sunday (except for week 5 assignments). I won't lie to you and say that this class is exciting in any way BEYOND the fact that for many it's their LAST CLASS, and that makes it the BEST CLASS EVER!!!

Thanks deltaroxxy! That makes me feel much better. I saw the syllabus and thought this is crazy!

YEah..The syllabus does make this class seem labor intensive. But seriously it's not. My only issues was that unlike "other" classes, there isn't a lot of DIRECTION on assignments. Or for me they were a bit vague. But just ask on here if you are confused about anything, and someone who's taken the class with help you.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll be asking some questions the next 5 weeks!
