Ok i recently decided after much thought to get into the field of nursing. I had a background and got an associates degree in computer networking and found that there was not really anything out there worth having in that field with what i had. So i decided to pursue nursing. I know a lot about nursing having friend and everything in the field. However, Hondoros college is kind of the new kid on the block here in Cincinnati and i was wondering how everyone experiences were with them getting set up with financial aid and once you got started how was it? Any feedback would be appreciated along with any advice?

RN to BSN program depends on the school. I believe it is 1.5 years, to 2 years. It also depends on your status in school...full time or part time.

Hello everyone!!I hope to start the LPN program in October.I just took my hesi test and failed vocab. If anyone has any suggestions on what to study please let me know!! I studied the study guide like crazy, and it didn't help me with the vocab. Thanks!!

hey tiffany, im starting in october, and the best thing to do in vocab is just go over all the stuff in the book, vocab stuff, if u atleast get a 75 u''ll b fineeee. It's pretty much all in the book.

Hi patel.748! Was just reading this thread and wanted to know how the first quarter is going? I am hoping to start in Oct & have my hesi scheduled for tuesday 8/3. Is the first quarter intense? What should I expect and is there anything I can do to prepare for the 1st quarter?

Hello Flawless! The first quarter is going very well so far. Just came back from my check off's in Respiration, Apical Pulse, Radial Pulse and Two-Step Blood Pressure. I passed all with perfect scores! :) We have our first major midterms coming up next week. A lot of studying to do this weekend.

To prepare for your first quarter.... get your books early. I was out of town two weeks before school started and when books were available to be picked up. Getting a jump start on those books will help you figure out how to study/organize your time. For anatomy, start learning your bones and brush up on your basic chemistry. I have my B.S. in Microbiology from Ohio State, but the Chemistry section was very elementary and my chemistry background is very far accelerated than what was needed to be learned in Anatomy. A lot of people struggled on that part. Other than that enjoy your break till school starts up. Its a never ending race till the end of the quarter!

I am loving every minute of it. Can't wait to start clinicals in 2 weeks. I am sooooo pumped!

Congrats patel.748!!:yeah: Good luck on your midterms, i'm sure you will be fine!! Yea I guess I better enjoy the break while I can! But i'm so excited to start!! Keep us posted of how it is going!!:clown:

Hi Flawless. How did your Hesi test go??After that you just do your admissions interview, then attend a financial aid workshop and go from there.

Hey Tiffany! It went well, I got accepted!! Yes they did the admissions interview after they get your results from your test. And I have to go back next week to do financial aid. It still hasn't set in yet that I'm in, maybe as it get's closer to Oct I'll feel differently. I can't remember, where did you say u were going to go again? And thanx for asking how it went!!
