Hondros College of Nursing - Input??????
Not to say what you are saying about Hondros is inaccurate(you may have started earlier than me) but in my entire LPN program we had the same teacher throughout all my classes with the exception of one where the teacher had a baby. As far as cost a lot of students between the LPN and RN schools looked at other options and I have seen all the numbers for most of the schools out there. With the 2 to three year waiting list out there and the 2.5 to 3 times less you would be playing wouldn't that come out to be about even? Then there is that online school that makes you pay cash or take out a loan and doing everything online. I wasn't a big fan of what they had to say either. For my LPN portion of my program personally i was satisfied with the education i received. Some aren't but personally i was.

You get a Dell Inspiron 1545 labtop. They charge you like 1000 for the package but you are only getting a 500 dollar computer and a 50 dollar printer. You would be better off buying a computer from another place and getting a warranty. No matter what they tell you tehy cannot require you to buy a technology package.

Hondros College of Nursing - Input??????
Ok i started my LPN program in April at hondros college in cincinnati (west chester). I read some of the comments about the A&P teacher and I had her when she was about to have a baby. I would agree with a lot of the things you said about her. She did just read off the powerpoints but at the same time to learn something you need to devote out of class time to studying and learning it. Nursing is about way more than just memorizing. Its applying the information and i think a lot of the people struggle with that. The school is a challenge and expensive but its kinda like a boot camp to get your LPN. Nursing is stressful! If you cannot handle the stress and the demands of school how would someone handle patients? There is a lot of bad comments about Hondros. I have had good experiences and bad experiences. Schools are a business first of all. Hondros faculty does care about your success but part of it is admiting you need help first. The class i personallty struggled with the most was psychosocial nursing. I got tutoring (which was free) and ended up with a solid B in the class. I am finishing up my last five weeks of my LPN program. I look forward to the HESI and NCLEX and i applied for the RN program as well. If anyone recently has any questions about this school email me and i will be happy to answer them. Andrew

Reviews on Hondros College
Well i am actually a current Hondros student in the West Chester Branch. I am in the fourth and last term of my LPN program. In my opinion every school has its up and downs. My experience at Hondros has been positive and negative. Their curriculum is focused on getting you to pass the HESI and NCLEX. That makes sense judging by that is what you need to pass in order to practice. Their policies are sometimes silly in my opinion. First of all they dont hand back tests due to theft of material issues. The professors are good and bad just like everywhere. I think that price is a negative. Their fees are really high but then again if you go somewhere cheaper you are on a waiting list for two years. So in the end i think its all equals out. The main complaint i have with the school is their clinical sites. For example for our Maternal Nursing course we went to a hospital which was an hour and a half away. Then we sat there for 2 days and didn't see any births C sections or anything of ANY interest. Then for our peds clinical we went to a daycare to observe which was a total waste of my time. The nursing homes were all decent and no real complaints there. I hope this helps. Andrew

Sinclair CC Wait List
Well personally i was interested in Sinclair CC but after hearing that i just figured i would go to a more expensive trade school like Hondros with no wait list. It may cost more in the short term but in long term it made more sense to me.

Sinclair CC Wait List
i recently called Sinclair CC and they told me the waiting list for both the radiology tech and nursing program is now three years!

40yr old guy needs advice on STNA
I am a 27 year old male that has a degree in computer networking and i ended up losing my job at a local factory myself. I know males may be the minority but honestly males therefore may have a slight advantage in the field then women. I start Hondros in April and i am looking forward to the challenge for sure!

Hondoros college-cincinnati
I got accepted and passed the hesi exam with not too much studying and got an 88 average on it. It was difficult in parts but not that difficult in other parts. The study guide they push is good for more than studying its also good for preparing for what i will be taking in the first term. I start April 5th and registered for my classes and in the process of filling out all necessary financial aid paperwork. So far the school has been pretty good but then again i haven't actually started. I hope school is a challenge because anything worth having taking hard work! I look forward to meeting all of you starting soon at Hondros.

Hondoros college-cincinnati
Ok i recently decided after much thought to get into the field of nursing. I had a background and got an associates degree in computer networking and found that there was not really anything out there worth having in that field with what i had. So i decided to pursue nursing. I know a lot about nursing having friend and everything in the field. However, Hondoros college is kind of the new kid on the block here in Cincinnati and i was wondering how everyone experiences were with them getting set up with financial aid and once you got started how was it? Any feedback would be appreciated along with any advice? Andrew
