Ok i recently decided after much thought to get into the field of nursing. I had a background and got an associates degree in computer networking and found that there was not really anything out there worth having in that field with what i had. So i decided to pursue nursing. I know a lot about nursing having friend and everything in the field. However, Hondoros college is kind of the new kid on the block here in Cincinnati and i was wondering how everyone experiences were with them getting set up with financial aid and once you got started how was it? Any feedback would be appreciated along with any advice?

Congrats!!:yeah:I'm going to the West Chester location. How about you?I'm getting very excited!!:)

Specializes in med surg/geriatrics.

Hey Tiff!! Yea I am getting excited!! I looked on their website and they have the classes and times listed for Oct already. I will be going to the Westerville campus in Columbus! It was closer then Cincy, as I will already be commuting from Clev! But its worth it, because the schools in my area have wait list until next fall. Did not want to be sitting for a year waiting to finish school. Best of Luck to you! We will have to keep in touch to keep each other motivated!!

Yes keep in touch, and good luck to you as well!!

Question for all students currently in the LPN program, or graduates. Are you ever in clinicals for 12 hours? Just curious bc I have two children that I would have to make arrangements for. Also, do they give you notice of how long you will be there??Thanks!

I am a first term student.

We have clinicals two days a week starting week 6 and ending week 10. They are on Thursday and Fridays. We start at 7 AM and end around 1:30 PM both days.

Second term I believe we are in clinical one day a week from 7 AM to 4:30 PM. Usually Tuesday or Wednesday. You chose the day when you schedule.

Haven't heard any 12 hour days yet...might have to wait for the students that are further in the program to chime in on that one...

Hope this helps! :)
