Fingerprints

Does anyone know how long it takes for your prints to be completed so you can sit for boards? I was told it could be around nine months and I just sent mine in ( graduate 1st week of sept) I wonder if they will be done in time???:uhoh21:

I've heard anywhere from 4-6-9 months. I imagine that yours should be done by the time you need them. Our school has them done electronically...they're ready in 2-4 days. So I guess if your prints aren't done by a couple weeks before the exam, you could do them again electronically. They have information on the Ohio Board of Nursing website, under the licensure section.

I had mine done the last week in march and they said about 6 months. Im hoping they will be ready by the time ikm ready to take the nclex in august.

Our school did the finger printing months in advance also, I don't know how many months in advance though. I do remember thinking why so early. Now I know.

I am curious. Where do your fingerprints go? And why do they need them? They don't fingerprint MD's, RT's and a host of other health professionals. Why us? Here in Tx they are just starting to do this and I find it to be objectionable and an invasion of privacy.

Tell me, would you get worried when they asked for a DNA sample? Where does it end? You do know that a background check can be done without fingerprints, don't you?
