2014-2015 Tri-C Nursing Program Questions

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

I am interested in the Tri-C Nursing program. I already have a A.A.S. degree in another field (waiting on my transcript to get on file for DARS/ Councilor visit.

I have a few questions:

1) For the Generic track do I need to have A & P done before I sit for the A2 entrance exam? Is it just math and reading or will there be A & P too?

2) Is there a closing date to send in you RN school application ? What is it for the Fall and What is it for the Spring?

3) Is there a waiting list? If so how long is it now? Is it based on your A2 score and GPA to be raked on the top of that list?

Thank you so much! If they take my English and psych from my other degree then just Bio chem and math then i can get a reviewed then take the Hesi A2. I will see soon I hope... I am real anxious to get the ball moving!!

Yea Flight Nursing has been a long time dream (was an Air Force medic) but got side tracked and chose a diff. degree path but now i realized I really miss working in medicine. I will keep you guys posted...who know we may have a class together and/or work as an RN at the same place ;)

Also to add...I strongly feel now that if you have dreams like flight nursing or NP to "Go For It !!"

Registration for Spring semester opened up today, I hope you got all your transcripts sent over to run a DARS and get things in motion. Good luck!

Hello everyone,

I just submitted my application for tri-c program and waiting for placement my first choice was westshore but its closed now i am eexpecting metro campus but how long do they respond for placement i did this in mid december and still waiting and can someone give me advice about metro generic program and thoughts? Thank you !

Wow, that was one long sentence! The spring semester just began, so the program managers have been focused on making sure the current students are placed in clinical sites and that they've hired enough faculty to cover them. You can call the office and ask to speak to the program manager in charge of N1300/1450, the first semester courses, and she can give you more information. This far out from fall semester 2015, it is unlikely that they've had anyone drop out of the Westshore group yet. In some cases, students are only able to request a campus change once they've been to orientation, which won't happen until summer for your group. The Metro generic program is no different from the Westshore one. The same faculty teach at both locations and the curriculum is identical. Westshore is a very small campus, whereas Metro is much bigger. Both are near major highways, but Metro is downtown and you'll have to deal with rush-hour traffic. One is suburban in a new building; the other urban in older buildings. Both are very safe places to be.
