Greetings from the couch

Well, I promised to keep you all updated on me & my friend, the placenta. Had a little bit of a suprise last night in the form of some more bleeding. I know that the bleeding is usually sudden, but still I am just amazed because I was just laying there watching the Hunt for Red October with hubby, & all of a sudden I felt it. It just comes on so quickly, out of nowhere it seems. So anyway, another trip to the hospital ensued, & fortunately the bleeding wasn't too bad, stopped on it's own within about 90 minutes. I spent the night in the hospital again, & got a steroid shot this morning before they let me go home again.

On the lighter side, the doctor said that I could give myself the second injection in the morning since I'm a nurse, but I told him that I just don't think I can bring myself to poke that big needle into my own body, so I'll show my husband how to do it. My husband is going to give me my second shot tomorrow morning, & he is so excited about getting to poke me in the a** with a big needle. Too funny. I brought home an extra syringe & needle to make him practice on an orange before he practices on me. Scary, huh. . .

Everything looks ok for now though. I'll keep you all informed. Bye for now. . .

I'm right about 25.5 weeks or so now. Still a long time to go, a long long time. On the couch. A long time. Oh, sorry. . . I was wallowing in self-pity there for a second wasn't I, lol.

Thanks you guys! I'll be resting here on the couch if anyone needs me.

I will let you know how my honey does with the shot in the a.m. He's been practicing today, but he's trying to freak me out by holding the damn thing like a dagger.

Hi - I know enforced bedrest is not fun. And this sudden bleeding isn't fun either!!!

You can do it, you'll be fine, the baby will be fine and you'll be SOOO rested when it's time to have this baby!
