Saw your other math post in the general nursing student section. Again use ratios. Make sure your units are the same. If these types of problems are giving you trouble is there a chance you can find a math tutor? My program is self taught also, but they do have the name and number of a math tutor we can tap into if struggling. That may be more beneficial than trying to post on website and get responses. Teaching/explaining math can happens so much easier in person face to face.

For some people (like me), ratios just mix me up. If you are having a problem with ratios, try doing the formula. Ordered/on hand x quanity = dose

to calculate drip factors, it is just a minor modification to the formula. ordered x drop factor/time to infuse in minutes. converting minutes to hrs is a coversion 60 minutes = 1 hour.
