What would you change about your scrubs??

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

When I first became a nurse, I was ecstatic when I went to my local uniform store to buy my first pair of scrubs. I walked in and immediately saw tons of colors, fits, fabrics, and sizes. But everything I tried on was wrong in some way. Top was too short, pants were too long, pockets were in the wrong place, etc.

I need help with a little research I'm doing. Since becoming a nurse in 2009 I have always wanted to design scrubs that would fit well and be stylish and comfortable. And when is a better time to do that than NOW!?

So...what would YOU change about the scrubs you own? What has kept you from buying scrubs you've tried on in the past? Are your frustrations the same as mine were 5 years ago? Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you nursing friends!!

Aviators have a male figure almost to them with a ton of pockets.

We're going color coded so I would guess the color coded system. It's nice sometimes but it only benefits the staff. Patients cannot ever tell who we are anyway.

I would like pants to stop being an inch too short or four inches too long.

I would like shirts to stop being so broad across the shoulders but tight across the bosom. Is it impossible to believe that big-busted women aren't built like linebackers?

A sports bra that has straps that don't show under a v-neck scrub shirt but is big enough for a fluffy woman like me.

More pockets that don't allow the items to all fall out when I'm sitting or running, and for everything to be scotchguarded so when I peed on or bled on it all runs off.
