Shoe advice please

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Can anyone recommend shoes for me? I have an "A" width foot, which is very narrow. I also have very flat feet. Normal everyday slip on shoes won't stay on my feet- they are very sloppy. I tend to buy things with laces because they tighten together more.

I have tried Birks, (which come in widths) but the arch is too high.

My most confortable pair of everyday shoes has been for years a good pair of hiking shoes.

Suggestions would be appreciated, especially for shoes that have good support and come in various widths.

Thanks,

Amy

My mom usually buys K-Swiss from the kids section. They look the same as the adult ones, only fit her tiny feet and cost much less!

I bought a pair of Nike Shox recently. My feet are fairly narrow and they fit great. I have worked about 4 or 5 12 hour shifts since my purchase and my feet have felt great at the end of the day.

Good luck finding the right pair!

I swear by SAS. They come in narrow widths and lace up. SO comfortable!

I would agree that you should talk to a podiatrist, they can give awesome tips

Yes! First do a search on New Balance Shoe Lasts . You will pull up a list of the various shoe fittings available-width, depth, arch, etc. Then find a provider. I like nbwebexpress.com for online-there are others. For instance, look at http://www.nbwebexpress.com/information/product_information.asp?pageType=lasts

They should have what you need. Shoes are our foundation !!!
