Question regarding engraving stethoscope

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

Hi all,

Just a silly question here. I'm starting nursing school in the fall and am making my first stethoscope investment. I'd like to engrave it (although that probably won't do much in the way of preventing loss/theft) but I'm wondering what most nurses engrave on theirs. Full name? First initial/last name? "Not your scope" (lol, j/k). Thoughts?

Thanks in advance :)

I had my first inital and last name engraved. It came in very handy, not because it prevented theft, but when I was in nursing school it seemed there were at least 8 other students that had a stethoscope the exact same model and color, so this way I knew what one was mine. Well worth the extra $$ to have it done.

I liked the not your scope idea. When I got mine done I just put my first and last name. If you order through medisave.net they will engrave it for free.

I went with first and last name since my last name is way too common for just a first initial and last name.

I am thinking about putting my email address on it that way if I misplace it someone can contact me.

I did my first and last name. However I now regret it as I want to upgrade to the cardio 3 and can't sell my SE classic, lol

I got my first and last name engraved-- since my Littman is black, a lot of people have similar ones..,. comes in handy esp when in Lab practicing w/ lots of ppl

I actually do have "not your stethoscope" engraved on my cardio III :D I figured I wanted to have something identifiable on it but didn't want my name should I ever want to sell it. Plus it was free, so I thought, why not be silly???

Surprizingly enough I sold my scope engraved and all! Who'd a thunk it? I sold it for $45 at that! So for anyone out there wondering if anyone would buy your old one, I guess they will =)

this is what i am going to do on mine, and I just thought of this today buy a Card III or a Master Classic II and engrave ti with my first and last name with CNA followed by it which is what i am going to use it for, but during my CNA schooling i am going to use a cheaper one maybe sometimes i will bring my scope in
