Can anyone suggust a great rolling backpack, hopefully one that doesn't cost too much money! Also, what shoes did you wear for clinicals. I have to have white leather, or leather-like shoes. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This is the link to my backpack. I have it in black. Several people in my class bought it after the saw it. It's very roomy. It can fit my laptop and my books. Read the reviews (there are hundreds of them)

It's very sturdy and durable.

I can't help you on shoes. I bought black and they are the most uncomfortable shoes ever.

Good luck.

I have a pair of white Nike Shox. They were about $100 but WELL worth it. They do like like sneakers though so may wanna check, but many people in my hospital were swearing by them, and I love them so much I wear them everywhere and now I need a new pair. They really absorb the impact of those solid tile hospital floors much better than anything else I have ever worn.

Oh, I love my shox! I have had my shox for about 3 years now, and they still look brand new! So nice to just be able to through them in the washer! I wish we were allowed to wear them!

several of us in my nursing class use rolling suitcases...and there are some who use those scrapbooking luggage which seems to do well for them~+-

I couldnt use the washable kind. I had to go and specifically get a pair of solid white leather ones for clinicals (which dont hold up as well as the canvas unfortunately but they did fit into my school's requirements for "white leather shoes with a back") I had to buy a pair of men's shox to get the while leather because I went to half a dozen shops including a Nike outlet store and didnt find women's white leather ones. Even the ones with the outline of the nike symbol in silver were not acceptable but the SOLID white ones were ok.

It's looking a little rough after 7 months, mostly because I dragged it through a couple of puddles and my coffee thermos leaked. I like having a lot of different sized pockets for equipment, day planner, personal things, etc. The outside mesh pocket is nice--the day my thermos leaked, coffee only got on the OUTSIDE of the bag. With my old backpack it would've been all over my books, calculator, med cards, stethoscope...

I LIKE Ebags.com . A lot. My Ebags "router" wheeled backpack (sapphire blue, apparently no longer sold in that color) was GREAT through my nursing prerequisites & nursing school. See:

I needed something big enough to carry monstrous books & notebooks, plus a padded pouch for my laptop. This bag certainly did the job.

My backpack is still in great shape, despite going through a couple years of solid use. The wheels are nice & quiet, and the telescoping handle is very comfortable to use.
