First of all you should be speaking in the irst person in a resume (using I did this, I did that). And NEVER use "etc." in a resume either list the specific kills/tasks or just nd the sentence bullets often work well as thy offer a summary rather than a life story. I can't believe that all ou did in the rehab unit was time management and assist with admissions assessments. If you weren't paid as a student nurse it doesnt belong under work experience but as a component of education & clinical skills. High school is not usually included on a resume if you are a college graduate as it is presumed that you are a HS graduate or at least a GED holder. You don't list your license(s) and certifications (such as BLS) that are current.
Some new grads list as "application submitted" to the BoN. And in my state it takes 4-6 license post NCLEX to get a license, listed "license number pending, NCLEX-PN passed on xx/xx/xxxx" this way the recruiter knows how lose you are to having a license. If your state offers temporary permits, list that. Good luck.
Yeah, I have my application submitted and received the thing from BoN with my list of things that I have left to do. I just have to sign up with Pearson Vue and get the other info to BoN that they requested. Then, I can pick a date and pass it the first time with 75 ques. (the power of positive thinking). And get a job!!

Hello everyone :) I'm new to this site so I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong area. I'm a fairly new nurse. I graduated May 2011 and took my NCLEX in September. I recently moved to another state unexpectedly and had only worked a couple of months as a nurse in a Rehab/LTC. I would love to find a job in a hospital because I feel like I need the experience. However, it's very hard to find a RN job in the state I moved to seeing as most hospitals prefer to hire nurses that have a BSN.
Since I don't have much experience, I would LOVE any feedback on my resume. It's a mess right now and I feel like giving up
What should I change? Here it is so far:
