Has anyone out ther had a good or bad experience with Rue publishing company?

Welcome to allnurses! :balloons:

There are a number of older threads here about folks' experiences with Rue -- you can use the "search" button in the upper right corner of the screen to do a search. It would be well worth your time to review them and think carefully before signing anything with Rue.

Best wishes.

I moved your question to the Distance/Online Forum. Please check out the threads here --many responses on topic.

I am using the RUE materials and am very happy with them. I am also using EC practice exams, exam guides, and other resources as necessary. There are pros and cons to using RUE and it is not for every one. Some people have a problem with signing a contract with RUE. If you don't plan on finishing the program, then this probably isn't for you.

Most people say that the publishing companies are a waste of money. Just read the many threads about this subject in the Distance forum. Any of their study guides can be had for a fraction of the cost of their contracts on ebay. Once you sign a contract with any of these companies, you are liable for whatever the extra cost is, and you can't break the contract. Just do like the smart people. Buy the study guides (if you even want them, try one and see if it meets your needs) on ebay used. Or don't use them at all. One person posted that he passed all the tests only using NCLEX study guides, which will come in handy again for the NCLEX. That is my main source to study from also. Besides the study guides, I use the references that Excelsior provides on their website and some of the material to be found in the files of Yahoo study groups. Good luck.
