Opinions/suggestion RN - MSN or RN - FNP

Nursing Students Online Learning

I hope to start school in Jan for RN - MSN or RN - FNP online. I am hoping to find some guidance on which school is the quickest, cheapest route with still being a very good education. I am a diploma RN and I probably have quite a few BSN qualifying classes under my belt because of it. I have looked into a few, but would LOVE suggestions. My end goal is to become a Nurse practitioner, but I'm open (right this minute) to either Womens health or General Family Nurse Practitioner.

I have tried to find other threads on this, and none have fit my exact question. That's why I am posting this as a new question. I want to get the paperwork started early as I need to get back into study mode asap (graduated in May). Currently I'm working on an Ortho/Neuro unit, and I am enjoying it quite a bit. Go to nights tomorrow night and am kinda nervous about that.

Anyway - please please share your wisdom, insights or whatever.

I appreciate these links. I will/have already checked into them. What I'm more looking for is opinions/suggestions on carrying out my plan. Where to go? What's best for the price and so on. Thanks Siri for the links.

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

I would see what colleges support the diploma grad to MSN program. I did an MSN in management and leadership and now am doing a post-masters clinical nurse special in adult med-surg.
