I am a currently licensed LPN working in PA and I am interested in furthering my education. I now work in a hospital on a med-surg, oncology floor. I have four years of experience. I would be interested in using an online only source because I need to work full time, and I have a 6 year old. Does anyone know of any credible schools on line that they would recommend trying? Also if I am going to complete an RN program would it be more beneficial to go just for the ASN or just finish it all and go straight through to my BSN? Partial tuition reimbursement is available through my job if I continue to work for them. This is not a problem because I like my job and do not intend to leave at this time. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Excelsior College, Indiana State University are two online LPN to RN (Excelsior offers a LPN to ASN/RN, ISU offers a LPN to BSN program) There are quite a few others, some local to PA. You just need to check with the school as to whether the program is acceptable to your state BoN

ISU is recognized in PA - http://www.indstate.edu/lpn-bs/image...isu-lpn-bs.gif and http://www.indstate.edu/lpn-bs/pdfs/...ing-states.pdf
  6. I did lpn-adn then adn-bsn. I went that route b/c I had 4 kids and needed the extra income asap! Then I worked at my leisure on adn-bsn.
