Help, I need your option on priorities!!!!

EC accepted my paperwork Jun 6th 2008 for the CPNE and I have learned half of my mnemonics while trying to study for Microbiology. This has got to be the hardest thing in the world right now. All I want to do is focus on the CPNE but the Microbiology is like this nagging monkey on my back! The material is hard to understand, there is so much terminology and its like learning to speak Spanish on your own. I signed up for Lynn's workshop Aug 13-16 and she just sent 40 pages of information of all the things that we are going over. She wants us to know all the memonics and steps to the lab before we get there. I am schedules to take Micro on July 31st. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I really want to get Micro over with, but I also want to get the most out of Lynn's workshop. I know for a fact that my CPNE date will be after Nov 14 at my request.What would you do in my situation?

I'm not sure myself! I would probably focus on the Micro, then plow away at the information Lynn sent you. Or screw the Micro for now, and focus on the CPNE stuff and Micro will be there for you when you're done with Lynn's workshop..

Hopefully someone who already completed the CPNE and micro will respond and have much more sound advice for you!

I would not rush the MIcro. Lynn's workshop is in less than a month, so you can try and focus on the upcoming workshop and resched your micro exam, or start your studying for the workshop after your test on the 31st. i know u want to be done w/micro., but u really want to make sure that u gave it your all and did as much as u poss. could before that exam. Ask yourself this; I have come this far, what is most import. to me? If u r having a hard time ans. that quest., I personally would put micro on hold, and wait til you complete the workshop to take the exam. Relax, breath and destress. maybe after the workshop u will be better focused on micro., knowing that you have already gotten a fast track incite to the cpne :). No matter what u decide, I'll support u in every way.

I would postpone the micro test. Not only because you have so much on your plate but also because you don't sound very sure of the micro material. Trust your gut! In order to make the most of your workshop, you need to focus on it. Micro will be there for the many months while you wait for a CPNE date. Yes, it's annoying to have hanging over your head but it would be equally as annoying to not be truely prepared for that test.

Flip a coin ... Micro is heads, workshop is tails. If you're not happy with the outcome, go with the other option. Works every time. :D

How do you feel about the Micro material? Have you taken the practice exams?

NC girl...I would concentrate full force on CPNE that is a bigger hurdle than lil ol Micro. You've come this far, forget Micro, it can wait.

Concentrate on one thing right now, yes I know you want everything out of the way before the CPNE.....imagine doing the CPNE over again. It's not in your thought bank is it? When CPNE is done Micro would be just a pebble.
